The Winchester in Keswick is a six bedroom family run guest house situated a few minutes walk from the Keswick town centre. The property is an impressive Victorian residence close to the town parks, shops and galleries.

Accommodation at The Winchester is of a very high standard. All six bedrooms are spacious and bright and consist of four double bedrooms, one twin room and one family room. All bedrooms are en-suite and have colour television, tea & coffee facilities, hairdryers and alarm radios. The Winchester is centrally heated throughout. We also have a drying room for walkers.

Breakfasts are as important as the accommodation so we use only the best local ingredients. We serve both Cumbrian, Vegetarian and Continental breakfasts and can cater for certain dietary needs, please ask when contacting us.

The Northern Lakes boast some of the best walks in Britain. You can walk straight from the door and head for Skiddaw or Blencathra or alternatively you can stroll down to Derwentwater, our nearest lake, and take the launch to one of the many jetties towards Borrowdale - from there you have a variety of options, gentle or difficult.
